CLEAN INDIA PROGRAM

Govt. Degree College, Chenani under the aegis of its NSS Unit “PRAYATNA†and ECO-CLUB undertook yet another activity under the “CLEAN INDIA PROGRAM’. The student volunteers cleaned the water body and the premises of the Old Heritage Shiv Temple at Chenani town and also performed a Maha-Arti as a Sacred Ritual. The student volunteers also involved the local community for the religious conclave.
The purpose of the program was to accelerate the efforts involved in the Swachh Bharat Mission or the Clean India Program that was launched throughout length and breadth of the Country as a national movement. A sense of responsibility has been evoked among the people through the activity. With students now becoming active participants in cleanliness activities across the nation, the dream of a ‘Clean India’ once seen by Mahatma Gandhi has actually begun to get a shape.
